Summary |
History of Chandler, Arizona from ancient times through 1989. The community of Chandler was founded just a few months after Arizona became the 48th state. Chandler's history is quite distinct from that of neighboring cities in the Phoenix metropolitan area. This is due in part to the dominant role of one individual, Dr. Alexander J. Chandler, who gave his name to the city he created. Great pictures. Deed of gift by the Chandler Historical Society, via David Verble of SCAHS on 6/4/08. |
